I strike First Blood

As most of my friends know, I am currently enrolled in the Masters of Library and Information Science (MLIS) Program of the UP School of Library and Information Studies (UP SLIS). I would literally fly from Alabang to Diliman every Thursday just to make it on time [5:30 it is] for my LIS 222 class --Collection Management, under Prof. Elvira Lapuz; and every Saturday, I need to wake up early for my LIS 260--Introduction to Information Science, where Prof. Igor Cabbab was our teacher.

Well today, I am happy to get my first-ever grade in my life as a Master's student and I'm glad to say that I fair quite well. I didn't really expect this much because I somehow procrastinated with our projects and requirements [and I was not the only one, right my fellow alumni? Haha.]. I guess all the sleepless nights and haggard days paid off. Thanks to Ma'am Elvie for selflessly sharing her knowledge on this matter [just like what Chiron had done for Perseus and Hercules].

You said before that I should not take this subject and get another instead because I may already know what you would be teaching us. But I guess it was quite a different experience, unlike what I had expected. As I also told you, "I guess this time, it's different because we now see what you're teaching us and they are not merely concepts and theories anymore, we already put them into practice."

I really faired quite well

Now, I am still waiting for my grade in my second subject and next week, will be gearing up again for the long queue of enrollees. I hope I could get more subjects as worthwhile as my LIS 222. Thank you Ma'am Elvie!
