While doing my homeworks [yes, that's with an S] last night and watching The West Side Story, and surfing the Net [multi-tasking much!], I came across one of my friends' wall photo in Facebook, which I found not-so-funny at all. You'll know what I mean by looking at the picture below:
Book Fiend |
I'd say that the introduction was fine, so-so as Koreans would say it. But come to think of it, book addiction is never really a problem. In fact, I would be so glad seeing that people are getting hooked to reading up to the point of addiction, there really is nothing wrong about that. As long as readers are not inflicting any harm to other people [and that's a universal rule!] and they continue to learn and share what they, ugh, learned.
As a reading advocate, I guess it would have been better if the ending [or the plot!] was more of encouraging people to read rather than showing them the "negative" effects of reading. Well, after all, it's entitled as "Book Fiend" but still, it really would, could have been better.
I may not be a bored heiress or a child genius, but I still love reading. My heart for spreading the love for reading would not falter [despite the existence of Book Fiends] up until the last page of the last book that would ever be published!
